Currie West is the newest 18-hole layout at the Currie Municipal Golf Complex.  It is a modern design that rivals many of Michigan’s top resort courses. It began as a 9-hole layout that was expanded to 18 holes in 2002.  Designed by Michigan golf course architect, Jerry Mathews of Natural Golf Design, the course features a complete redesign of the original 9-hole layout and a new front nine carved out of the naturally wooded landscape between M-20 and the Tittabawassee River in the city of Midland.  With its five tee boxes, Currie West can accommodate the skills of the casual golfer as well as provide a challenge from the back tees for the low handicapper.  After a round, one can enjoy the spectacular view of the 9th hole on the deck of the beautiful West Clubhouse.
