Unlike any other golf facility in the Tri-City area, Currie Municipal Golf Course provides Midland residents and visitors alike with three beautiful courses that subtly blend with their natural surroundings. Located along the banks of the Tittabawassee River near downtown Midland, Currie is considered one of the finest municipal golf courses in Michigan, and provides players with an amazing view of some of mid-Michigan's breathtaking natural features. The courses are designed to be challenging yet fun for everyone, with play for all skill levels. From the novice to the seasoned golfer, multiple sets of tees are available to ensure a good time for all. Currie is open for play April 1 to October 31, 7:00 a.m. until dusk, seven days a week (weather permitting). For tee time reservations or other information, call 989-839-9600. Background Golfers first stepped onto the green at Currie Municipal Golf Course in 1954. Since then, the course has provided affordable, fun recreation for players of all skill levels. The course is named for Gilbert Currie, who had a vision to provide a reasonably priced, beautifully designed course for all citizens to enjoy. The land on which Currie East - the first course on the property - is constructed was donated by the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation. |
