2018 Midland Junior Golf Program
Currie Junior Golf 2016

Who: midland boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 17 (as of june 15th, 2018). Juniors must know how to play golf and have their own equipment. Proper etiquette, pace of play and sportsmanship are emphasized to enhance the enjoyment for all participants. The program directors will provide some instruction when needed.

When: a series of nine events will be held on monday’s throughout the summer, beginning june 18th and runs thru august 20th. Registering in the program will also qualify golfers for the junior city championship automatically which will be held on monday, july 23rd. On june 18th players should report to the west golf course at 11:30 a.m. For free hot-dog, chips, fountain drink and register with their program director who is in charge of your age group. At that time the directors will assign tee times for that day.

*please do not call the golf course for tee times. If you have any questions regarding tee times please call the program director who is in charge of that division. There will be no rain dates available.

How: in fairness to all golfers as a whole, players are assigned the first week according to age group - no exceptions. However, after the first week, every attempt will be made to evaluate and reassign golfers based on event scores. This policy includes returning golfers who have previously competed in a higher division than their peers. Ultimately, the goal is to place golfers in divisions where they will be most competitive. Division assignments are made solely by the program directors.

Bonus: any junior golfer registered in the program, can play free golf when playing with their parents or grandparents between the dates of june 18th – august 27th.
