PROGRAMS DETAILS
In fairness to all golfers as a whole, players are assigned the first week according to age group - no exceptions. However, after the first week, every attempt will be made to evaluate and reassign golfers based on event scores. This policy includes returning golfers who have previously competed in a higher division than their peers.

Ultimately, the goal is to place golfers in divisions where they will be most competitive. Division assignments are made solely by the program directors.

BONUS
Any junior golfer registered in the program, can play free golf when playing with their parents or grandparents between the dates of June 2nd – August 18th.
SCHEDULE
A series of ten events will be held on Monday’s throughout the summer, beginning June 2nd and runs thru August 18th. Registering in the program will also qualify golfers for the Junior City Championship automatically which will be held on Monday, July 28th. There will be no golf on June 23rd.

On June 2nd, players should report to the pavilion behind the west clubhouse at 11am for free hot-dog, chips, fountain drink and register with their program director who is in charge of your age group. At that time the directors will assign tee times for that day.

*Please do not call the golf course for tee times. If you have any questions regarding tee times please call the program director who is in charge of that division. There will be no rain dates available.

First Tee Eastern Michigan is a youth development organization that enables kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with a life skills curriculum, we create active learning experiences that build values like inner strength, self-confidence and resilience that kids can carry to everything they do.

At each age group, participants engage with the 5 Key Commitments:

  1. Pursuing goals
  2. Growing through challenge
  3. Collaborating with others
  4. Building positive self-identity
  5. Using Good Judgment
Participants (ages 7-18) progress through the program over time, deepening their understanding of life skills and golf development. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with character-building, we create learning experiences that help kids and teens uncover their inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that they can carry to everything they do.

Participants will register and be grouped by age, progressing through the program as they “age up,” with lessons tailored to challenge them at their skill level. To ensure appropriate placement, players must meet the starting age requirement by the first class—no exceptions. Online registration will open on Wednesday, March 1st, 2025.
