Junior Programs

Currie Golf Courses is home to many Junior Golf Programs: Midland Junior Golf Program, The First Tee, PGA Junior Golf League, Summer Camps & more!

Midland boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 17. Juniors must know how to play golf and have their own equipment. Proper etiquette, pace of play and sportsmanship are emphasized to enhance the enjoyment for all participants. The program directors will provide some instruction when needed.

$100 per player. Any junior golfer who is registered in the program will receive a hot dog combo ($5) at Gil’s Grill the day of junior golf program.

12-14 yr old | Dan varner 989-615-2107
15-17 yr old | Kevin Groulx 989-513-5562

In fairness to all golfers as a whole, players are assigned the first week according to age group - no exceptions. However, after the first week, every attempt will be made to evaluate and reassign golfers based on event scores. This policy includes returning golfers who have previously competed in a higher division than their peers.

Ultimately, the goal is to place golfers in divisions where they will be most competitive. Division assignments are made solely by the program directors.

Any junior golfer registered in the program, can play free golf when playing with their parents or grandparents between the dates of June 3rd – August 19th.
A series of ten events will be held on Monday’s throughout the summer, beginning June 3rd and runs thru August 19th. Registering in the program will also qualify golfers for the Junior City Championship automatically which will be held on Monday, July 29th. There will be no golf on June 17th.

On June 3rd, players should report to the pavilion behind the west clubhouse at 11am for free hot-dog, chips, fountain drink and register with their program director who is in charge of your age group. At that time the directors will assign tee times for that day.

*Please do not call the golf course for tee times. If you have any questions regarding tee times please call the program director who is in charge of that division. There will be no rain dates available.

BONUS Any junior golfer registered in the program, can play free golf when playing with their parents or grandparents between the dates of June 3rd – August 19th.
