Meet the Team

Coming into his fifth year at Currie Golf Courses is Keith Geiling. Keith has been playing and teaching golf for 20+ years and most recently is partnered with Science of the Swing (A STEM Initiative from the Great Lakes Regional Alliance). Keith found a passion for golf swing instruction through the pursuit of his own golf improvement.

"I remember receiving my first golf lesson and also seeing my golf swing on camera for the first time. I’ve been hooked ever since."

Keith went on to develop his golf game and learn from local instructors for him and his students. He has competed in local and state wide golf tournaments including previously winning The City Championship at Currie Golf Club.

Joining us this year is Cam Lippoldt, a professional golfer and instructor from Midland, MI. Cam studied under and was mentored by Jason Guss, a 3x teacher of the year in Michigan, Golf Digest best in state teacher 2001-present, Golf Digest National Best Young Teacher 2014-2017. Interning at Jason Guss Golf Academy in the summer 2019 Cam assisted in and taught junior clinics, corporate clinics, as well as observing hours of private instruction, going on to become a Junior Golf Coach, First Tee Program of Mid-Michigan, 2019-2020

Note: Each lesson will come with video analysis through OnForm software and a video review summarizing key concepts and drills from the lesson. Cam offers full swing, short game, putting, and playing lessons as well as online video analysis and coaching.

Mitch graduated from Ferris State University in the Professional Golf Management Program in December of 1999 and has been a PGA Member since April, 2001. Mitch became the Assistant Professional at Bucks Run Golf Club in 2001 where he started and grew the lesson program between 2001-2008. Mitch then spent 3 years as a Fitting Rep for Cobra Golf while he was in charge of The Saginaw Golf Centre. After that Mitch was the Assistant Professional at The Midland Country Club where he spent 12 years teaching and fitting members of all ages and abilities. He was the PGA Junior League Coach for 6 years working with junior golfers ages 7-16. Mitch has taught and coached juniors on the Midland and Dow High girls and boys golf teams. He has taught and coached amateur golfers at every level and age. Mitch’s passion lies with helping golfers reach their individual golfing goals. He believes that golf instruction should be tailored to meet those individual goals, which are different from student to student.

Mitch is also an accredited club fitter which gives him a unique knowledge of the golf swing and how it affects ball flight. Mitch was a Ping Power Fitter in 2020 and again in 2022. This is given to the top 100 Fitters across the United States by Ping.

Mitch will work with his students to help them achieve their individual goals through instruction. Each lesson will be personalized to the individual student and will use video analysis to evaluate the swing and determine a course of action.

Since partnering with Science of the Swing, Keith has learned and certified with some of the most innovative technology for golf which include:

• FlightScope (Ball and club radar unit measuring launch and attack angles & more)
• Kmotion (3D system measuring kinematic sequencing of body movements)
• V1 Software (Video swing analysis and comparison including online lessons)
